The Sixth Sunday after Pentecost

"The kingdom of heaven is like a grain of mustard seed which a man took and sowed in his field; it is the smallest of all seeds, but when it has grown it is the greatest of shrubs and becomes a tree, so that the birds of the air come and make nests in its branches."
(Gospel of St. Matthew 13:31-32)

On behalf of the Synod of Bishops, Archbishop Dr. Craig J. N. de Paulo calls all Christians and people of good will to pray for our brothers and sisters in Iraq and for peace in the Holy Land and throughout the Middle East.

The Synod of Bishops of the Old Catholic Confederation send prayerful best wishes and congratulations to The Rt. Rev. N. de Paulo, in his capacity as Episcopal Commissary of the Church of the Province of West Africa to North America, also sends his heartfelt congratulations and blessings.

We pray for the all of our Christian brothers and sisters who are persecuted for their faith around the world, and especially in Nigeria, the Middle East, Ukraine and Venezuela. The Synod of Bishops sends its Apostolic blessings of peace and promise of Christian solidarity. The President of the Synod of Bishops requests that all the faithful of our Confederation pray for a peaceful resolution in these troubled areas.
