His Grace, The Most Rev. Dr. Craig J. N. de Paulo, OCC Primate, invites all Christians and people of good will to join him and our bishops at the United Nations World Day to Eradicate Extreme Poverty on October 17, 2014, in New York City. Theme for 2013: Working together towards a world without discrimination: Building on the experience and knowledge of people in extreme poverty

On behalf of the Synod of Bishops, Archbishop Dr. Craig J. N. de Paulo calls all Christians and people of good will to pray for our brothers and sisters in Iraq and for peace in the Holy Land, and throughout the Middle East.

We pray for the all of our Christian brothers and sisters who are persecuted for their faith around the world, and especially in Nigeria, West Africa, the Middle East, Ukraine and Venezuela. The Synod of Bishops sends its Apostolic blessings of peace and promise of Christian solidarity. The President of the Synod of Bishops requests that all the faithful of our Confederation pray for a peaceful resolution in these troubled areas.
