Supreme Tribunal of the Synod of Bishops

The Supreme Tribunal of the Synod of Bishops of the Old Catholic Confederation provides the highest Ecclesiastical Court of Appeals for all dioceses, vicariates and member Churches of the Confederation. An appellate action can only take place after decisions by the local diocesan tribunal and the regional Metropolitan tribunal, or in the event of a vacant local tribunal. The Supreme Tribunal considers all judicial and ecclesiastical matters of the Confederation. The decisions of the Supreme Tribunal are final and its judgments and orders are binding upon all bishops of the Confederation.
