Member Churches

Member Churches of the Old Catholic Confederation are Churches in their own right and remain autonomous jurisdictions affiliated with the Synod of Bishops of the Old Catholic Confederation. Member Churches in good standing are licensed annually by the Synod of Bishops of the Old Catholic Confederation.


All Churches that embrace the ancient, Catholic and orthodox faith and the sacred Scriptures, the teachings of the Fathers of the Church, the first Seven Ecumenical Councils. the sacraments, and especially the Holy Eucharist, that have a valid Apostolic Succession and Episcopal Order, are eligible to petition for membership in the Old Catholic Confederation. 


Member Churches of the Old Catholic Confederation are required to: 1) have a clear Old Catholic identity, 2) observe the Code of Canon Law of the Old Catholic Confederation pertaining to Member Churches, and 3) make an Annual Contribution to the Synod of Bishops of the Old Catholic Confederation.
