Appointments and Decrees

His Grace, The Most Rev. Dr. Craig J. N. de Paulo, Primate and Archbishop of the United States, has announced the decision of the Synod of Bishops to dissolve the following Dioceses and foreign Vicariates: The Diocese of California, the Diocese of New York, the Vicariate for Italy and Malta and the Vicariate for Great Britain and Ireland, in accordance with the Code of Canon Law, Canons 011, 100 and in violation of Canon 704, effective immediately.

His Grace, The Most Rev. Dr. Craig J. N. de Paulo, Primate and Archbishop of the United States, has announced by formal Decree the Elevation and Dedication of St. Willibrord Court to an autonomous (sui juris) priory, effective immediately. The Oratory at the Priory of St. Willibrord will be dedicated and consecrated at the Vigil Celebration of the Holy Eucharist of the Feast of the Nativity of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, December 24, 2017.

His Grace, The Most Rev. Dr. Craig J. N. de Paulo, Primate and Archbishop of the United States, has announced the transfer of the The Rev. Anthony Martini, M.A., S.T.M., a priest of the Archdiocese of the United States, Parochial Vicar of Holy Pentecost Parish, Levittown, Pennsylvania, to Vicar of the Oratory of St. Willibrord, Mohnton, Pennsylvania, effective immediately. Father Martini will continue to serve as Vicar for Vocations and Secretary to the Synod.

His Grace, The Most Rev. Dr. Craig J. N. de Paulo, Primate and Archbishop of the United States, has relieved The Very Rev. Canon Brian K. Collins, S.T.B., J.C.L. cand., from the Office of Vicar General of the Archdiocese of the United States, for reasons of health, effective immediately. Canon Collins is transfered back to Dallas, Texas. He will continue with his graduate studies in Canon Law at the Collegium Augustinianum.

N. de Paulo, Primate and Archbishop of the United States, has canonically dissolved the following parishes of the Archdiocese of the United States, which no longer have regular services, effective immediately: The Parish of St. Ignatius of Antioch in Raleigh, North Carolina, the Parish of St. Willibrord in Evanston, Wyoming, and the Parish of St. Benedict in Rehobeth Beach, Delaware.

Velandia Mojica, (Suffragan) Bishop of California, from his Promise of Obedience, without canonical penalty, as per violations of CANONS 002, 305 and in accordance with CANON 802 of the Code of Canon Law of the Old Catholic Confederation. As such, Bishop Velandia Mojica is canonically removed from the Suffragan See of California and all of the responsibilities as Bishop of California, effective immediately.

N. de Paulo was granted Episcopal License with the personal title of Archbishop by His Grace, The Most Rev. Dr. S. N. de Paulo, Vicar General for Old Catholics, to the Holy Episcopate with the Titular title of Bishop of Ostia and as Bishop-Elect of Pennsylvania. Bishop-Elect de Paulo will be consecrated to the Holy Episcopate on September 14, 2013, the Feast of the Exultation of the Holy Cross, at the Church of St. John in Bala Cynwyd, Pennsylvania.
